The whole entire Bible is about The Kingdom of Elohim. It’s all about Yahusha. Watch out for distractions! Yahusha preached only one thing; and that is the Gospel of the Kingdom of Elohim (Luke 4:43). It’s critical to understand that Yah’s idea of salvation for Man is that Man is restored to His Kingdom. It’s critical to understand that when Man fell, he did not fall from Heaven, but he fell from dominion - Kingdom dominion. See, for Man the Kingdom of Elohim is, among other things, Man’s alignment with Elohim by which Man exercises rule and dominion. It’s why Yahusha, who is the Son of Man, had dominion over everything, everywhere He went. “He commands even the wind and the water, and they obey Him!” (Luke 8:25).
Yahusha told His disciples “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see, for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it.” (Luke 10:23-24). What is it? See and hear what, you may ask? See and hear the coming of the Kingdom of Elohim! See, Yahusha told His disciples who had just returned from their first mission; on which He had sent them with the instruction to declare in every town they entered that “The Kingdom of Elohim has come near you”; that they worked directly for the “Lord Of The Harvest”. And while on their mission those 70 Disciples had authority over every demon, sickness, and situation they encountered (Luke 10:17). Upon their return Yahusha went on to formally issue to them authority over ALL the power (satanic kingdom) of the enemy (Luke 10:19). It’s important to understand that this is the first independent mission that Yahusha sent His disciples on, and it was about confronting another kingdom - the kingdom of darkness.
On this mission they whipped every devil in every town they entered. And they returned to Yahusha rejoicing because, “Adonai, even the demons are subject to us in Your name”. (Luke 10:17). And Messiah did rejoice with them, but told them “do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in Heaven”. (Luke 10:20) In other words, Yahusha was telling them to rejoice because of their Kingdom citizenship - which in turn gave them [back] their authority [over everything].
The Kingdom of Elohim is RIGHT NOW! It’s not only about when we die. It’s about our life RIGHT NOW (Luke 17:21). In part, it’s about a choice that, through Messiah, we all have an opportunity to make (Luke 18:29-30). It’s the choice to keep this measly existence that’s offered by worldly living, or abandon the frivolities of satan’s kingdom, and look for a “better country” (Hebrews 11:13-16).
You may ask; “how do I get to the Kingdom of Elohim?" You’re in good company. A man named Nicodemus asked our Adonai the same question (John ch 3), as well as a rich young ruler (Luke 18:18), as well as a woman at a Samaritan well - in so many words (John 4:15 & 25). In each instance, Yahusha told them to stop relying on what they currently were doing, and abandon what they currently had, to follow Him. And it’s interesting to look at these three individuals who were seeking the Kingdom of God.
The first - Nicodemus - being a devout religious man. The next being a stuffy young rich man. The last being a poor, sinful woman with a ‘situation’. Glory to God!! There’s so much that can be learned about the Gospel of the Kingdom from surveying these three, but my writ here is limited, just keep coming everyday for the study! In each case Yahusha told them to receive something from Elohim, but in order to do that they each had to give something up, and change what they were currently relying on. Yahusha would later teach that whoever is to enter the Kingdom of Elohim must do so like a little child (Luke 18:17).
That compels me to the question; what characteristics do little children have that all who would follow Messiah must adopt? The answer is several, but primarily among them is a little child’s dependency on his/her parents, and their natural tendency to be like, and mimic their parents. Consider that the very definition of Messianist is to be like Messiah. To be Kingdom Citizens we are to be like our Abba in Heaven (Matthew 5:48). And our Abba in Heaven has designed His Children not to live on bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of Elohim (Deuteronomy 8:3 / Matthew 4:4). It is why Yahusha would later tell His disciples “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.” (John 4:34). And to that I say “Selah, and Amen.”
Michael Askyya is on an assignment to teach the glorious commandments and preach the Kingdom of Elohim daily. That the prayer of Yah’s Children; “give us this day our daily bread”; might be answered. This site, and all the media associated to it is for those men, women, and Children Of Yah who have resolved to seek The Kingdom Of Yah, and His righteousness, and thus desire to hear Yah's Word daily. Michael Askyya is an expert in the long-suffering, patience, mercy, and unfailing love of Yah; because he’s been a daily recipient of all that for all of his life. And as the suffering among Israelites and other People becomes deafening in his ears, Michael Askyya - this chief of sinners who is saved by the grace of Elohim - asked his Savior; “Adonai, what can I do?” His Adon replied to him with a similar command that He once gave to our Big Brother several centuries earlier; “If you love me, feed my lambs.” (John 21:15)

"Repent! For the Kingdom Of Heaven is at hand."
Nicodemus is a representation of those who try to find The Kingdom Of God through religion. This man was a prominent member of the Pharisees, which along with the Sadducee exercised extensive religious authority over the Jews of Jesus’ day. The Pharisees were a constant annoyance to Christ for the entire time of His earthly ministry. There were very few incidents when The Lord spoke or dealt harshly with people while He was here among men, but the few times it happened the Pharisees were usually involved. Pharisees loved power, money, and recognition. They did not love The Lord. But Nicodemus might have been an exception. He came to our Lord one night, recognizing Him as “Rabbi”, and “a teacher sent from God.” Nicodemus’ respect for Jesus was genuine. And his fascination, and possibly even love of God is what drew him to Christ. And our Lord knew exactly what Nicodemus needed to hear that night. As the story goes, as soon as Nicodemus approaches The Lord and makes an introduction, Our Lord gets straight to the matter at hand without preoccupation. The very first thing He says to Nicodemus is “...unless a man be born again he will not see the Kingdom Of God.” There was no “hello, how are the kids? It’s nice weather tonight”...none of that! Straight to the point. Nicodemus was seeking the Kingdom of God, and Jesus was gonna tell him how to get there, period. The conversation between Nicodemus and Jesus got very busy that night. If I were to try to tell you all about it here, this short blurb about Nicodemus would easily turn into an essay or even a book. But the short of it is Jesus blew Nicodemus’ religion off of the table, and gave him something much more valuable...the way to Everlasting Life in the Kingdom Of God.
We don’t know this guy’s name. The Bible doesn’t make any further note of him after he chose his wealth and power over the Kingdom. But his brief meeting with Jesus must have been significant. Matthew, Mark, and Luke all record this meeting which, from the looks of it, may have lasted for less than five minutes, but had eternal impact. The Rich Young Ruler represents worldly esteem and success. This guy would have been a sort of local celebrity in his day. He had lots of money. He had lots of influence (the Bible calls him a ruler!). He was young and had a lot of life ahead of him. And if I had to guess, he was likely a good looking fella with a lot of ladies wooing after him. He had it all...AND on top of that, this guy was a good person. But Jesus told him he lacked only one thing. Jesus said to him “go sell all of your possessions, give it all to the poor, and follow me and you’ll have treasure in Heaven.” And right here is where we see one of the most epic FAILS ever recorded in the Bible. The Rich Young Ruler walked away sad because, according to the Bible, he had a really great life and a lot of really cool stuff. It is at the close of this meeting that our Lord declares “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for the rich to enter the Kingdom Of Heaven.” The Rich Young Ruler was a good young man, with good intentions. And though he’s not mentioned anymore in the scriptures we can still hold out hope that he reconsidered, and came back to follow Jesus. But throughout the scriptures Jesus is very explicit in explaining that those who would inherit the Kingdom Of Heaven MUST be willing to abandon EVERYTHING to seek the Kingdom of God. What’s sad about the Rich Young Ruler is that he didn’t even realize what an awesome opportunity that our Lord laid right at his feet (this is the only guarantee of treasure and riches that Jesus ever made to anyone) because he was so enthralled in the life that he thought he had prior to seeking The Kingdom. Once again this story is so rich I can’t write all about here in this little blurb, but just let me regretfully inform you; this guy played himself...bad!
So this lady is one of my personal favorite figures in the New Testament. I really like her. And she is a perfect example of what effective love and ministry is all about. Unlike Nicodemus and the Rich Young Ruler, this woman didn’t come seeking the Kingdom, but the King came seeking her. We only have a little history on this Sista, but I know that she was looking for the Kingdom Of God because she clearly anticipated the day when the Messiah would come and “show us all things.” What’s wonderful is that she had this hope even though she was of a nation that was commonly thought of as estranged from the Covenants of God. She was from a people who, though they served God they were not considered as equals by folks who were supposed to be God’s People. Samaritans were a race of people that were considered to be inferior, and this woman was from the bottom of the social hierarchy in Samaria! Speaking in worldly terms, she had nothing and she was nothing. She didn’t even have a family.
So she just went from man to man searching for ‘something’. But one day she got up to go to the Well, and everything she had ever wanted, needed, hoped for, and better than she could ever imagine was sitting on her well - bidding her “give me a drink.” This Sista represents all of the lost people in the world who are precious in Yah's site. Many of us were simply born into situations that were already messed up when we got here. We had no control over it, and now we just wonder from man to man (thing to thing, fad to fad, people to people, sin to sin, dumb to dumber) trying to find somewhere to fit in and be loved. What I love about this story is that it shows me that we ain't gotta worry about not finding the Kingdom because if we’re seeking the Kingdom, the King is coming to find us! (Matthew 7:7) This woman is physical manifestation that Christ comes to seek and to save that which was lost. That’s my Adonai! He saves to the uttermost!

The Son of Man
Meditation
The thing that amazes me most about My Elohim is His confounding care for a man such as me. It’s His consideration and dedication to me and the rest of His family that compels me most to absolute awe of Him. It’s loyalty; yes, that’s it. It’s His loyalty. Out of all of the incomprehensible, inexhaustible excellencies of Yah, I’d have to say that His loyalty - referred to as His great faithfulness by many better men - is the single virtue of His character that I know best. His loyalty brings me to riveting yet simple awe and devotion to El Shaddai.
His great power is incomprehensible. His great power is inexhaustible. He is infinite and illimitable. He is without beginning or end, yet he IS the Beginning and the End. He is the author and the assurer of faith, nature, and science. Though immeasurable He is raw mathematics. Though invisible He is astounding beauty. He is good. He is a sure thing when nothing else is certain, and He knows them that trust in Him (Nahum 1:7). And it is that! It’s that He’s ALL THAT, yet He is continually mindful of...us...me (Psalm 8:4 / Proverbs 15:29).
Crocs
I like to watch epic television documentaries about animals, nature, and the planet and stuff. I like to see how everything works in the jungle, and forest, and deserts, and oceans, and swamps, and mountains, and everywhere else. One of the most fascinating things that I’ve witnessed on one of these shows is the hatching of eggs - crocodile eggs! I’m amazed at the birth of crocodiles because of the tender parenting skills that crocodiles evidently possess. I’m fairly certain that there’s no need for me to explain to you, dear reader, the fact that crocodiles are one of the most formidable and scary super predators on the planet. Their mouth and jaws are among the biggest and most powerful of any animal on the planet. They have near as many big razor sharp teeth as Washington D.C. has crooks. And there is virtually nothing that hungry crocodiles can’t rip to pieces and eat. Yet when they lay their eggs both crocodile parents will protect those eggs night and day. And when the eggs hatch female crocodiles will literally care for their young...something that very few other reptiles do. And here’s the really amazing part; those same razor sharp jaws that rip buffaloes in half, and are the stuff that really bad Hollywood movies are made of, will become a tender nursery and sanctuary of safety for the newly hatched little crocs!
Christophanies
The American dictionary defines Christophanies as appearances of Christ on Earth after His Resurrection. I say that a Christophany is an appearance of Christ on Earth anytime prior to Mary, or post crucifixion and subsequent resurrection. When one reads the entire Bible, He or she will find that Christ has always been on the Earth in some way, shape or form even prior to Mary. Now before I go into this, allow me to make a brief disclaimer/ confession...I am not a good enough scholar to always differentiate between God, The Son Of God, and The Holy Spirit every time God appears in scripture interacting with Men. But I know that each one has interacted with man at some point.
I’m convinced that several appearances of God in the Old Testament are Christ even prior to Mary. I think it’s Christ who fights with Jacob all night long at the Ford Of Jabbok before He eventually blesses him (Genesis ch 32). It’s Christ who appears to Joshua by Jericho with a drawn sword to take the land (Joshua 5:13-15). It’s Christ who subsequently appears as ‘The Angel Of The Lord’ several more times in the camp of Israel throughout the book of Joshua. And it’s Christ who is with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego when they are cast into Nebuchadnezzar’s fiery furnace and survive (Daniel 3)!
Understanding
And like the mighty jaws of a crocodile, this same Christ appears in a manger as a new-born baby wrapped in swaddling clothes! This same mighty Christ appears as a little boy in HIS OWN TEMPLE sitting in the midst of the teachers...teaching AND listening. Like the mighty crocodile, this same Christ who along with Joshua destroyed thirty-one strong kingdoms, slaughtered countless Philistines and chopped their idle god - Dagon - into pieces, slaughtered a satanic giant and its evil army, and mocked the might of the Babylonians to their face, and drove their wise King - perhaps the wisest man to live since Solomon - into humiliating madness and lunacy until he came to know that “The Most High Rules…”(Daniel ch. 4); this same Christ says “come onto me all who labor and are heavy laden...for I am gentle and lowly in heart…”(Matt 11:28-30), He also says “let the little children come onto Me…”(Matt 19:14) , and again He also says “I have not come to be served, but to serve…”(Matt 20:28). This same Christ washed common mens’ feet (John 13:1-20), spoke with harlots and high priests alike. He touched the untouchable! He loved the unlovable! He taught the unteachable! And He forgave the unforgivable! Finally, this same Christ gave His own body (Matt 26:26) which was broken for you and I. He gave His own blood for the remission of MY sins, though HE had no sin. And when lesser, weaker, filthy men nailed him to a disgraceful Roman cross to crucify Him this same Christ could have called legions of Angels to His rescue and slaughtered everybody, but instead He cried out “FATHER FORGIVE THEM…”(Luke 23:34). And it was for me, all for me and you! Because me and you could not save ourselves. We had to have a Kindred Redeemer - a Man to do what only God would do. And the most profound and immutable victory throughout all existential time and Creation came upon the heels of the the most amazing act of humility ever; when The Creator humbled Himself, becoming the Son of the Creation in order to save the creation. The Son of Man. The Savior of Man.
